Lot 49: Siddur

Guy Zagursky

Auction Ended

Each menorah is a composition of three parts that support and complement each other, resembling a tradition of modernist sculpture.

Guy Zagursky’s SIDDUR − A Contemporary Jewish Table − reformulates traditional Jewish visual ideas into a contemporary language. The objects designed for the Sabbaths and the holidays in the Hebrew calendar are treated with the same passion that resonates from an artwork. Zagursky strives to create ritual vessels that correspond with tradition but are free from conventions. All the objects are meticulously handcrafted using traditional craft methods which are made in the artists’ studio in Tel-Aviv.

Lives and works in Tel Aviv.
