This innovative program literally brings art to life for children in hospitals. Professional performers visit sick or injured children and create “gallery shows” against a backdrop of reproductions of art in the Museum’s collection. The drama portrayed is inspired by the art and for Jewish and Arab children alike, who are unable to leave the hospital (often because they are in a wheelchair or tethered to an IV). With BFAMI’s support, the performers can stage five shows a year and relieve the stress and anxiety these children live with on a daily basis through the fun and joy these artistic productions bring
