Restoration of Marcel Janco’s Studio

1st Jun 2009

The late Marcel Janco was one of the founders of the “Dada” movement in 1916. He was a very significant figure in Modern Art as well as the founder of the artists village Ein Hod. His studio is a site of historical significance. With BFAMI’s support it has been converted into a repository for the artefacts Janco left behind after his death in 1984. Filled with unfinished paintings, his palette, paints, documentation and photographs from the early days of Ein Hod, it serves as a valuable source of inspiration for conservationists
