We would like to invite you to a private tour of the group exhibition ‘Bloomberg New Contemporaries’ at Camden Art Centre. The tour will be led by Israeli artists Noa Klagsbald and Efrat Merin whose works are exhibited. Families are invited to come and get creative at CAC’s Drawing Studio.
Sunday 11 February at 11:15
Noa Klagsbald, a dynamic Israeli photographer and sculptor, captures the essence of unity and resilience in her latest project “GOAL.” Collaborating with Hapoel Bney Lod, a football club with both Arab and Jewish Israeli players, Klagsbald’s work is a poignant reflection on the power of sports as a unifying force in times of strife. Through “GOAL,” Klagsbald invites viewers to see beyond the prevailing discourse of conflict, to a world where common ground and understanding can be found even in the most unlikely places. Her work is a call to action, urging us to recognise the importance of working together towards peace and coexistence.

Efrat Merin is an artist working across multiple mediums, offering a queer retelling of mythical narratives. She holds a particular fascination with origin myths, exploring concepts of primordial chaos, narratives of separation and becoming, and themes such as the performativity of the queer body, the fusion of science and magic, and the environmental crisis as an existential state. Over the past three years, Merin has been developing the sgraffito technique in painting, involving the scratching and removal of parts of the surface to reveal the underlying layer.
We invite families to join Sunday’s event as Camden Arts Centre’s Drawing Studio will be open for all to get creative in.
