About Chen G. Schimmel:
At just 25 years old, Schimmel’s work took on profound significance in the wake of the October 7th tragedy.

As a staff photojournalist for The Jerusalem Post, her coverage of the war provided insight into the lives of displaced families, wounded soldiers, hostage families, and survivors of terror. Through her lens, she highlights moments of resilience and humanity amidst the darkness, offering a vital perspective on some of her generation’s most challenging events.

Through her lens, Schimmel not only documents history but also honours the resilience of those who endure. Her work, shaped by the tragedy of war and the strength of the human spirit, ensures that these stories will not be forgotten.
