Join us for specialist talks on the amazing 13th Century Holkham Hebrew Bible, the Sassoon ‘Sufficient Guide’ – provenance the Cairo Genizah, and on one of the oldest known Sefardi Torah Scrolls still in existence.
Also on display will be George Stubbs’ masterpiece – Mares and Foals – one of the largest works the artist ever painted and a special exhibition celebrating 150 years of the Impressionist movement.
Sarah Done, Director of Restitution, will discuss the Christie’s Grant for Nazi era Provenance Research.
This will be followed by a private view at Stern Pissarro Gallery.
Stern Pissarro Gallery will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of the first Impressionist exhibition. Directed by David Stern and Lélia Pissarro, the great-granddaughter of Camille Pissarro, the gallery will present a museum-quality exhibition of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works. Stern Pissarro’s heritage makes it uniquely positioned to pay homage to the influential 1874 exhibition, to champion the art of Impressionist masters and shed light on the enduring legacy of the movement.
