BFAMI x Jewish Film Festival

We are excited to have collaborated with the Jewish Film Festival on the UK premier screening of four exceptional short documentary films.

Commissioned as part the Tel Aviv Museum of Art’s 90th anniversary celebration, this collection of films is a must-watch for fans of the museum and Israeli history alike – taking a glimpse into the inner world of the art gallery, they reveal how it has become much more than a place for looking at art. The films explore the rich history of this beloved institution from its foundation in 1932 and development of the collection with the help of iconic benefactor Peggy Guggenheim, to its magnificent architecture and central role in Israeli civic life as a place of demonstration and remembrance. The filmmakers have created a unique collection of films from diverse perspectives. These are stories that go beyond the institution they explore to cover political and cultural changes in Tel Aviv and Israel as a whole from the 1930s onwards. Watch film highlights here.
