Rory Jones is a self-taught abstract painter. His popular works are influenced by abstract expressionists such as Kazuo Shiraga, Santiago Parra and Jackson Pollock. His artworks are held in various international private collections.
Jones’ careful handling of the negative space is used through the practice of focussed silence. Using unconventional tools to apply the paint – mops, buckets, scraps of cardboard, wooden planks, pallet knives – the act of painting is physical and performative.
Lives and works in London.
