Is there a difference between the traditional self-portrait and a “selfie”? Why do people like to photograph themselves and publish their selfies on social media? In this exhibition, supported by BFAMI, the viewers’ selfies become the raw material, in a process where viewers meet themselves in various modes. Selfie characteristics are expressed using technological interactions and software, as well as the viewers’ cellphones. Also featured is a display of selfie-related works by artists Muntean and Rosenblum.
